Marine Electronic Highway Project Brief
The project is the first (demonstration) phase of a potential two-phase program to eatablish a Marine Electronic Highway (MEH) in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore. The Demonstration Project's objective is to determine if a full-scale MEH for the Straits is economically justified and financially feasible. The potential full-scale MEH program's development objectives are to increase the efficiency of marine transport through the Straits, reduce its negative environmental impacts, and strengthen the conservation and mangement of neighboring marine and coastal environments.
