The objective of this project is to improve water resources management; thus leading to reducing pollution loads in the Nile Delta Drains and the Mediterranean Sea through targeted pilot investments, technical assistance and knowledge generation. This will be achieved through improving quality and availability of surface and ground water and their effective management in response to climatic variability including flood and drought as well as water scarcity. These pilots will form the basis for scaling up investments through the Government’s Integrated Water Resources Management Plan and contribute even more significantly to depollution and improved ecosystem health of the Mediterranean Sea and its biodiversity resources
