In the same time with the establishment of Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, was established an organisation to manage the natural patrimony - public domain of the reserve - Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Authority (DDBRA). <p> According to the Law No. 82/1993, DDBRA is a public institution, subordinated to the Ministry of Waters, Forests and Environmental Protection. <p> According to the same Law, Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve is lead by a Scientific Council who includes representatives from DDBRA and from all the other organisations involved in the reserve (local authorities, ministries, health services, research institutions, Romanian Academy of Science, economic companies, etc.) <p> DDBRA is lead by a Governor, appointed by the Romanian Government at the proposal of the Ministry of Waters, Forests and Environmental Protection with approval of Tulcea Prefect and Academy of Science.
