Summary of The Asian Regional Workshop on “Stakeholder Engagement in International Waters Management”

The workshop, which is supported by WBI, GEF IW:LEARN, ELI, VIWRR, UNDP/UNEP and Coca-Cola Company was organised over 2 days from 3rd to 4th of April 2008 at the Melia Hotel, Hanoi, Vietnam. It resulted from cooperation between ELI, IW:LEARN and VIWRR to prepare the background materials, logistics and substantive delivery. The workshop was divided into 9 sessions focusing in different aspects of stakeholder involvement in water management. The format varied from interesting presentations, poignant case studies as well as collaborative problem-solving and discussion to exchange experiences.
